Call for Submissions: 20 March
The Oxford Monitor of Forced Migration (OxMO) is thrilled to launch its call for submissions to its 13th volume, aimed to be published by fall 2026. We welcome submissions from all scholars dedicated to the study of forced migration, particularly those in their early career and including PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers, other students, non-affiliated scholars, researchers with field and/or lived experience, and writers who can provide meaningful insight into contemporary forced migration. In the spirit of OxMO’s open tradition, submissions are evaluated for quality and insight, regardless of a prospective author’s affiliations and background. Similarly, there is no fee to submit to OxMO.
While we ask that all submissions have full written content and initial findings, we are primarily concerned with the clarity of a paper’s question and concept approach at this stage. For further information about how to submit, please select "Submit" in the upper righthand side of your screen or contact us at oxmofm@gmail.com.
Now Available: Volume 12
This latest edition of OxMo brings together eight powerful contributions from authors across the globe, spanning legal, academic, and creative disciplines. In a world where forced migration is often framed as a temporary crisis, Volume 12 examines it as a structural and enduring feature of the global order. The contributions within this volume examine the complexities of temporality and home for displaced individuals, scrutinise the intersecting logics of law and livelihood, and centre the voices of those who are most often marginalised in displacement narratives.
